Sarah grew up in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota, where she is a wife to a rancher and a mother to two young men. Sarah started her career in the insurance industry in 2009, assisting families in the Rapid City area with their home and auto insurance needs. Throughout her career, she has further developed her desire to expand her knowledge in commercial insurance and farm/ranch insurance, specifically understanding the unique challenges and risks faced by ranchers in our region. Raised in the Watertown, SD area with my four brothers, I grew up with a strong sense of responsibility and support. I studied business management at Black Hills State while running track. I’ve built my career in the insurance industry for the past 8 years—5 of them with State Farm.
I work with customers to uncover their needs and help bridge the gap for life insurance, so their families have a plan for what matters most. I also provide risk management for auto and homeowners insurance throughout Rapid City and the Black Hills surrounding areas.
When I’m not helping insureds, I’m enjoying life with my wife whom I married in 2024, and we’re expecting our first baby boy in September. I also enjoy running marathons, supporting local breweries, watching football, and playing chess!

Prior to transitioning into the insurance industry, I dedicated 23 years to the healthcare field. However, my true passion lies in providing exceptional service to customers and treating them with the utmost respect.
Outside of work, I am happily married to my husband of 27 years. Together, we have raised two wonderful adult sons. As our nest began to empty, we decided to add two rescue dogs to our family. Inspired by their journey, my husband and I have become active volunteers for the rescue organization that saved our pups. Giving back to the community and helping these animals find loving homes brings us great joy. In our free time, my husband and I indulge in our shared love for music. We enjoy traveling to attend concerts of some of our favorite bands, creating unforgettable memories along the way.

Hello! I’m Ryan Richards, and I joined Matt’s office in Rapid City in 2024. Since then, I’ve enjoyed connecting with our customers while diving into the world of insurance.
I can assist with auto, home, and life insurance, and I take pride in our office culture, where our team works diligently to provide exceptional service to the Rapid City community.
Outside of work, I’m passionate about skiing, racing dirt bikes, hunting, and fishing. I also became a first-time home buyer in 2024, so I’m currently busy making improvements to my new place.

Outside of work, Candace enjoys spending time with family, listening to live music, and getting outside to recharge in nature. She loves all things 80’s and 90’s and has called the Black Hills home for over 14 years now!
